I believe that you are the expert of your life. My focus is to collaborate with you so that you can discover and understand your purpose and potential through our therapeutic relationship and the unique strengths, experiences, and identity you bring. I would love to get to know you and help you cultivate a sense of hope for the future.
I am a Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern through Northeastern Illinois University. As a counselor-in-training, my goal is to provide a safe space of support, empathy, respect, and trust so that you can be your authentic, whole self. Our work will center on self-discovery, free will, finding meaning & purpose, and developing a strong sense of self. We will work together to ensure that therapy becomes an empowering, meaningful experience for you – with your own individual goals, needs, and values in mind. It would be an honor to support you on your journey toward change, growth, and healing.
On a personal note…
In my free time, I enjoy getting lost in a good book (especially contemporary romance and memoirs), watching documentaries or Studio Ghibli movies, going to coffee shops, and occasionally going to the gym. Recently, I started practicing mindfulness meditation. I am almost always listening to music (e.g., bedroom pop, alternative/indie, R&B, classical). I love to catch up with my friends over some good food or an iced latte. At home, I love spending time with my pup Mash and hamster Taro.
