Sessions are held by video on your phone, tablet, or laptop, cost the same as in-office counseling, and are covered by many insurance plans. Our licensed therapists also see clients in person in Woodstock, Lake in the Hills, and Elgin.

How does online counseling work?

Online counseling works anywhere you have a stable internet connection, a private space, and a device with webcam functionality, so pretty much every smartphone, tablet, and laptop will work. You must be located in the state of Illinois at the time of the session. We use HIPAA compliant software, so your information is private, confidential, and not recorded. 

We ask that you have a private space for one hour, where no one else will be able to listen in and you will be able to focus on your therapeutic experience. 

We do not recommend online counseling for people with an active substance addiction, someone with regular suicidal thinking, a person who dissociates during therapy, or any situation in which there is risk to you if your conversations are overheard.

What does online counseling cost?

The cost of online counseling is the same as in-office counseling. We accept many insurances for online counseling. If we are not in network with your insurance company, then we charge our full fee of $200 per hour. We also offer some reduced fees for those who cannot afford our full fee.
