Counseling Fees

Most sessions are 60 minutes and cost $200. If you have insurance, your fee will be based on the contracted rate from your insurance company for in-network or out-of-network benefits.

We accept insurance, out-of-network insurance benefits and self-pay. We also offer a reduced fee for those who cannot afford the full rate. Please call in advance to discuss this option. Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan.

If you don’t have insurance or aren’t using it, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges.

HMO Plans

HMO plans require a referral from your primary care physician. Please check with us before assuming your HMO plan is covered.

Questions to Ask Your Insurance Company

Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
  • What is my deductible and has it been met?
  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?
  • What is the difference between an in-network and an out-of-network provider?
  • How do I file a claim for an out-of-network provider?

How Do I Use My Out-of-Network Insurance Benefits?

You can use your out-of-network benefits to work with us. We will provide you with a Superbill, which is an invoice along with specific diagnostic codes that explain why you have come to seek help. You are responsible for the full fee at the beginning of each session, and then you submit the Superbill to your insurance company for reimbursement of a percentage of the fee. Please call your insurance company to learn more about your specific benefits and how to complete this process. If you prefer, we will call your insurance to gather this information and then discuss it with you.

Forms of Payment

We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards. If you participate in an FSA, HSA, or HRA you can use those funds toward therapy services.

Cancellation Policy

If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay a $75 fee. No portion of this fee will be covered by insurance.
