The therapeutic relationship is the core of therapy and I love getting to know the people I counsel. Therapy is  a vulnerable experience that I respect, and I work to make people feel safe to explore and grow . Each person interacts in the world differently.  They need a therapist who can be responsive to  their changing  needs while keeping them on track to meet their goals. I believe people are experts on their own lives.  I am there to learn about their strengths and how I can support their  vision of the future.

I am experienced in working with people of all ages  in individual, group and family therapy. I have been an individual therapist for children and adolescents utilizing play and art to help them heal and grow. I am completing a Doctor of Education in Counselor Education and Supervision because I  am passionate about quality care and want to ensure counseling excellence for future generations.

On a Personal note:

My favorite past-time is reading.  I may be engrossed in popular fiction, thrillers (especially any set in the wilderness), memoirs and biographies. Nature is a grounding force for me. I love to spend time gardening, walking, or sitting by the fire pit on a brisk fall night. Playing Uno, Sorry, Clue or Sushi Go with my children is one way I find joy in relationships and stay humble when I lose Sorry for the 100th time to one of my children.
