My approach to counseling is holistic, encompassing each of our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual dimensions. I am an active therapist that will work with you to create new solutions for emotional pain. As a counselor who is also a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) I incorporate art, music, wellness and recreation aspects in the counseling process.
My education is in Community Counseling and Therapeutic Recreation. My experience is in adult and adolescent mental health, adolescent and adult divorce recovery, single parents, blended families, domestic violence, at risk youth, and depression and anxiety.
On a personal note…
I live in Woodstock with my family. I love spending time with our daughters and attending their activities. I am a D200 Music Boosters board member, and part of the Friends of the Old Courthouse. I spend most of my free time outdoors. My passion is counseling. I am down to earth, compassionate, direct, and encouraging.
