I believe that the best therapy happens when you get to be your authentic self during the recovery process. When working with you, I will meet you where you are at, and encourage you to consider yourself a partner, rather than a client in the therapeutic relationship. After all, this is your journey… I believe that working through those issues that bring you to therapy can easily be described as “Hills and Valleys.” When we finally make it to the top of one hill, we feel a sense of accomplishment, but realize that at the bottom of a valley, there are more hills ahead! However, you don’t have to make this journey alone, and I will be cheering you on the whole time.
The scope of my experience has been working within private practices and hospital settings facilitating psychoeducational, process, and therapy groups for individuals with behavioral problems, and chronic psychosis. I also incorporate various modalities, and approaches that best fit the client for an optimal experience.
On a more personal note…
I was born and raised in IL. I spent some time living in beautiful Colorado, where I earned my degree before returning home. I currently live in Woodstock with my significant other, and two cats. In my spare time I like to immerse myself in music, a good book, cooking, etc.
