Challenges occur at many points in life and you may not know how to tap into your natural strength and resilience to navigate those complexities. Everyone possesses the potential to thrive and with support and guidance you can move toward wellness. I am delighted to be a part of your path to growth and change.
My ultimate goal is to create a safe, nurturing, and empowering space where individuals and families can explore their experiences, maximize their strengths, and navigate life’s obstacles with resilience. I am passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and families in their journey towards healthier and more fulfilling relationships. Together, we will explore your strengths, identify areas for growth, and develop strategies to foster healthier relationships.
I completed my master’s degree in Applied Human Development and Family Sciences, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy at Northern Illinois University. This comprehensive program has equipped me with a solid foundation in theories, interventions, and ethical practices in the field. Furthermore, I am committed to continuous professional development and regularly engage in workshops, seminars, and conferences to stay up-to-date with the latest research and therapeutic techniques.
In my practice, I integrate various evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to the unique needs of each client and family. Some of the approaches I draw from include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Bowen Family Systems Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make positive changes.
Embarking on a journey towards healing and growth can be both courageous and transformative. I am here to provide a safe and confidential space where you can share your concerns and work towards building the relationships you desire.
On a personal note…
In my free time, you can often find me curled up with a good book or working on my latest painting. When the weather is nice, I enjoy playing tennis or pickleball with my family and friends. I also love taking walks with my dog and listening to the newest podcast episodes or music along the way.
